JCB Bucket and Attachment Fabrication

The assignment required a rugged JCB bucket and mounting assembly suitable for regular excavation and material-handling work around Kharagpur. Working dimensions, fitment points, loading zones, and high-wear areas were reviewed before material preparation began. The fabrication process covered template preparation, plate cutting, forming, fit-up, bracket positioning, reinforcement of cutting and wear edges, controlled welding, and dimensional verification. Components were assembled in a planned sequence to control distortion and maintain alignment at the attachment points. Final checks focused on weld continuity, geometry, pin and bracket alignment, edge reinforcement, surface preparation, and protective finishing. The completed attachment was prepared for practical site use with attention to strength, serviceability, and dependable performance under demanding West Bengal ground conditions.
